Since this was our first Kiwi Crate, and I may have ordered a little late in the month, I think we got ours later than the average subscriber. If you haven’t heard about Kiwi Crate, it’s a monthly subscription craft box for kids. Each craft comes with everything needed for two crafts and super-easy-to-follow instructions. The box is normally $19.95 a month, but I found a coupon code for 50% off our first box. My little man was so excited when a box arrived at the door with his name on it! And he was even more excited once he saw what was inside. The theme for this crate, which is technically the September box, is Modern Art. My son is definitely a little artist and we had so much fun with the theme!
As you can see, there was so much stuff included in our Kiwi Crate! They even sent a new pair of scissors to celebrate our new crafting endeavors. We split the crafts up into two after school activities. The first craft was a color block painting. The crate included everything to make two paintings and even an easel to display his new work of art!
The second craft we did was a hanging mobile. We did our painting outside to enjoy the beautiful weather, but I was afraid the all the small, lightweight pieces from the mobile kit would be blowing in the breeze all over our yard, so we kept this one to the kitchen table.
Along with these two awesome crafts, there are little activities stuck all throughout the crate. The guide book has lots to color and the box itself can be cut into a diorama and colored!
Our Kiwi Crate subscription is definitely a keeper! I was so impressed with the quality of the crafts and how they never missed an opportunity for fun and learning. Even the box itself is a fun project to cut and color! I can’t wait to see what next month’s Kiwi Crate has in store for us!
